Zaddi
Born in Manila, Philippines, and raised in Canada, Zaddi is a singer-songwriter whose music blends alternative folk, soul, and contemporary songwriting. His work combines memorable melodies, thoughtful arrangements, and honest lyrics influenced by a wide range of musical styles.
While studying Philosophy and Sociology, Zaddi began performing in an indie rock band, where he developed his skills as a songwriter, musician, and live performer. After leaving the group, he formed his own indie rock project and continued refining his songwriting, recording, and creative process. He later brought his music to the streets of Eastern Canada, performing in cities including Ottawa, Montreal, Quebec City, Moncton, Halifax, and St. John’s, gaining valuable experience connecting with audiences in a variety of settings.
During the pandemic, Zaddi focused on music production, expanding his skills in recording, arrangement, and sound design. This period allowed him to further develop his approach to creating music, combining the influences he had explored throughout his musical career with the intimacy of singer-songwriter music.
Through his work as a songwriter, performer, and producer, Zaddi creates songs centered around strong melodies, expressive performances, and carefully crafted production. His music brings together personal storytelling and a deep appreciation for timeless songcraft.
