Spectre Hearts

Spectre Hearts is the indie rock project of Manila-born musician Zaddi Pesino and a rotating cast of collaborators. Blending sharp guitar lines, infectious hooks, and dynamic arrangements, the project balances melodic songwriting with the tension, swagger, and experimentation of modern alternative rock.

Formed through a constantly evolving lineup of musicians, Spectre Hearts has always been built around collaboration and creative exploration. From rehearsals and recordings in a rented studio space beneath a Filipino cultural centre in Toronto’s Kensington Market to stages across the city, the project has grown through a shared passion for creating distinctive, guitar-driven music.

With a focus on textured guitars, driving rhythms, and memorable melodies, Spectre Hearts creates music that moves between intensity and atmosphere while carving out its own space in the indie rock landscape. The project has brought this energy to iconic Toronto venues including The Legendary Horseshoe Tavern, The Silver Dollar Room, and El Mocambo.

In 2018, Spectre Hearts released debut full-length album LO, followed by sophomore album Re on May 3, 2024. Both albums were written and produced by Zaddi Pesino, with LO mastered by Chuck Carvalho (The Tragically Hip, Pilot Speed) and Re mastered by Harry Hess (PUP, Cancer Bats).
